Domingo Germán is flashing some great potential so far this spring. In 7.2 innings pitched this spring, Germán has already racked up 10 strikeouts, holding hitters to a .214 average while allowing only 1 earned run. Germán struck out 5 batters in 2.2 innings on Wednesday, including striking out the side in the 2nd inning. He received a no-decision for his efforts, as the Yankees were unable to generate much offense until the top of the 8th inning.
I would expect to see Domingo get some spot starts midway through the season as starters get rested or injured. If he continues to pitch the way he has, and keeps his walk totals low, Germán looks poised to force his way into the Yankees rotation sometime in mid-late 2018.
