As I go through the different prospect rankings of our beloved Yankees this spring, I still have to keep pinching myself. We have a remarkable amount of incredibly talented youth that have figured this game out at a high level. Although Gleyber Torres hasn’t raked so far this spring, he already starting to show that he can hit at the major league level. Until his 2017 season was cut short by Tommy John surgery, Torres hit .309 with a .406 on base percentage. I imagine that Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton can’t wait to have the speedy Torres in front of them in the lineup soon.

Yankee beat reporter for WFAN had this to say about number 2 Yankee prospect Estevan Florial:

Domingo German looks like he’ll be ready to take a spot in the rotation sometime this year. Miguel Andujar has been hitting the cover off the ball this spring. So far, he’s already hit 4 home runs, now tied with Billy McKinney for the team lead. Andujar and McKinney are both 23. It feels surreal to have this many prospects that seem ready to burst through to the majors. Combine that with the fact that this team has both 2017 MVPs (in my personal opinion, Judge should have won), and I think we’re about to see the Yankees winning a lot of games this year.

22 more sleeps until Opening Day. It can’t come soon enough
